The Cadastro Arlanza

The Cadastro Arlanza
Tasting Notes
It has a bright, intense red color with a purple edge. On the nose, it is a symphony of red fruits; cherry and blackberry take the lead, with suggestive herbal and balsamic hints, all grounded by a touch of minerality. On the palate, it is bold and expansive, balanced by vibrant acidity and firm tannins, persisting with an impressively long finish.
Background
Native of Cognac, Olivier Rivière honed his craft throughout France before arriving in La Rioja. Inspired by biodynamics and the focus on terroir from Burgundy, he launched his winery in 2006. Unlike the traditional style of Rioja, Olivier's biodynamic and organic wines are bursting with fresh fruit, testifying to minimal intervention in the winery. His expressive approach is a breath of fresh air in La Rioja, with his Pozo Alto 2016 receiving critical acclaim.
Production Process
Hailing from Covarrubias in the renowned region of La Rioja in Spain, Cadastro is a red wine that features a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes. Crafted using a time-tested French technique, this wine matures wonderfully for 24 months in oak barrels, developing a complexity of flavor that is sure to impress you.
